Artist / Content Creator
Amena Ebeid is an Egyptian filmmaker, theater director, writer, and acting coach. She graduated from the American University in Cairo with a BA in Acting/Directing and has been appointed as an independent director at AUC since 2021, with her contract renewed annually through 2025. Her work spans all elements of performance and storytelling.
Her latest project, تصبح رماد (Turn to Ash), marks her bold transition into the world of film. Created independently with a minimal budget, the five-part anthology features ten professional actors and explores the five stages of grief through intimate, realistic storytelling. The project is expected to make a strong breakthrough into Egypt’s film industry. Amena takes pride in having built the project from the ground up and views it as the first step in a promising filmmaking career—crafted with care, authenticity, and hope for a wide and lasting audience impact.
